Opinion my minions....
So my dear readers, real and imaginary, I need your fashion opinions! My BFF Jessica is getting married next week to the most amazing guy and I am her MOH (yay!!). Now that means a bunch of fabulous events that I get to dress up for, which is where you guys come in. I need opinions on what to wear to the bridal brunch. What originally came to mind was a feminine sundress ala Charlotte York,...

Weekly warm-up: just plain FUN
It hasn’t been super cold this week (thank goodness!) so I don’t have too much to talk about regarding things that have been keeping me warm. Instead, I want to talk about something FUN. There are always those dream items that girls wish they had in their wardrobe - those things that are not practical at all and purely for pleasure (gold lame dresses anyone?).
For me, living in...
A touch of luxe...
My family is more of a jeans-wearing, comfortable Thanksgiving type of family…but that doesn’t mean that I wanted to go completely casual (special occasions and all). I topped my jeans with a silverish blouse and a faux-fur vest (which totally reminded me of Chewbacca but you don’t see me complaining!).
vest and sunnies: forever 21, jeans: arden b, blouse: target, boots:...
The holiday spirit...
I was telling one of my friends earlier this week that it didn’t REALLY feel like Thanksgiving because it was too cold. I know, I know - but I grew up in South Florida!. You Florida people know, we hit the beach on Thanksgiving and wear flip flops - we are lucky if the weather requires a cardigan. But as I drove to my Dad’s house tonight with my Christmas Carols on, in my big winter...
A case of the Mondays...
Despite the rain this am, I was in a good mood thanks to Starbucks (thanks Chase rewards!) and the reminder that it is only a three day week!!
There’s nothing that will brighten my rainy mornings like a humongous hot green tea, breakfast sandwich, and spying the new Michael Buble Christmas album (I WANT). Also, thank goodness for this trench - it really is fool-proof (and my go-to when...
It was all yellow...
The tree outside my back window has stayed green so far this fall. I don’t know if it’s because of the type of tree it is, or if it’s because this particular tree is sheltered from the wind by row houses - but it has held on even when most other trees are bare. A touch of spring when the rest of the world seems to be well into fall and close to winter.
Yesterday I looked...
CK's Weekly Warm-up...
I’ve decided to start a feature!! I know…you can’t contain your excitment. Me either!! ;)
I’ve decided to call it CK’s Weekly Warm-up. I’ll tell you all the things that are chasing my chills away (or at least keeping me happy while I freeze)! Which is great because our weather has been pretty gross this week - nonstop rain except for today when we...
Study outfit...
Sometimes I have to put heals on, even when I’m just headed to the library. They make me feel better equipped to tackle the day. However, on the weekend I only wear my comfortable heals - it’s totally one of my fashion rules.
This is what I wore yesterday on my library trip:
jeans, sunnies, and cardigan: forever 21, booties: charlotte russe, tee and cuff: h&M.
Some...
Skulled...
I love skulls - especially ones with pink flowered heads on slouchy sweatshirts.
jeans: thrifted, boots: h&m, sweater: urban outfitters, sunnies and purple bracelets; forever 21, bag: loehman’s, ring: francesca’s, other bracelets: misc.
This was an after-thought I threw into my cyber-shopping cart as I was buying an early birthday present to myself (stay tuned - it’s...
A taste of sunshine...
I rebelled against the cold temperatures these past few days and put together an outfit that just screamed ‘BEACH’ (to me - I talk to my clothes but sometimes if I listen REALY hard they talk back). A sunny sweater and turquoise earrings made a tropical combo…of course I paired them with some cords for warmth - in a greyish blue.

I decided to ‘mix up’ my pictures...
Full circle...
When I was really little, I am told that I refused to wear anything but the color pink. Naturally the pink item of clothing was almost always a dress. Anything androgynous or gender-neutral was rejected by my toddler mind - much to my mother’s dismay since I was her first girl (I wouldn’t even let her dress me in my brother’s old jeans!). Conversely, in middle school, I went...
Technical difficulties...
So thanks to a marathon Pan Am session (if you haven’t watched it you should. amazing.), I overloaded my air card and no longer have internet at my apartment. Thankfully the awesome coffee shop down the street has free internet and amazing chai tea lattes - two birds with one stone!
I have a ton of outfits backed up since Wednesday so I’ll get right to it!!
A little bit lady-like...
Soon to be favorite...
So my outfit today is def one of my favorites! I used a bunch of classics from my wardrobe - black skinny jeans, colorful blazer, fun scarf, striped tee. But the combo just won my heart (and not to mention my pictures came out better than usual!)
The best thing about this outfit?? The slippers!! It took a little while to wear them in, but now they are soft as butta.
I had some time to...
Black and blue...
My pictures came out weird today - but I do have one that didn’t over expose! Victory!
It was freezing this am (literally it was 32 degrees), so I pulled out my colorful plaid coat and paired it with a pencil skirt and some orangey-red tights. Nothing like some colorful tights to brighten you day!
Hope everyone had a fantastic Tuesday!
xoxo
