Bored...
I’m totally bored with this winter weather. I need to get re-inspired. Leather, fur and my fun coat can’t even pull me out of my outfit rut.
I want white lace…I want iced coffee…I want peep-toes…I want warm sunshine and a tan…at the very least I want bare legs!

I've got the blues...
I love this blue coat. It feels classic, unique, and a little grunge mixed with a sort of 70s vibe.

Wrapping myself in love...
Moving across the country means that I live kinda far away from a lot of awesome people that I love. If we are looking at the glass as half full (which is always is!), that also means I live a lot closer to some OTHER awesome people that I love. That puts things into a better perspective. I’m really enjoying my time here in Pittsburgh with people that have always been sooo far away, but...
White out...
I have a LOT of dresses from my time in Florida. I’m talking about 75% my closet being made up of sun dresses, maxi dresses, important-meeting dresses, fancy dresses, take-me-out-for-a-drink dresses, chilling-on-the-beach dresses, laying-on-the-couch dresses, I’m-too-lazy-to-put-on-pants dresses, etc. I loooove a good dress (as if you couldn’t tell already).

The best part about a style journey is you get to experiment with things you might normally be too afraid to try - to put yourself outside your comfort zone - to risk looking a little silly. Yesterday I wore highlighter-pink, high waisted, tapered pink trousers.

A little bit country/A little bit work-aholic...
I know I always discuss the weather, but I figure it’s an easy topic for small talk…plus half of the reason I write this blog. The weather affects what we wear, what we do, sometimes even how we feel (hellloooo seasonal affective disorder).
Yesterday the weather here was pretty warm – my car actually read 57 degrees at one point! I wore a shirt-dress, chunky boots, and a blazer. Love the mix...

I didn’t allow myself the time to take outfit pictures today, but I have to say that fleece-over-thermal is quite warm (Thanks Aunt Amy and Allie for the tip!).

Snow day...
We have a severe weather warning for today which means SNOW (and lots and lots and lots of it)! Woohoo! Just in time for me to hole-up in my apartment and study my tush-off while drinking lots of tea and ordering yummy Italian food (helllooooo there, Little Italy). Lazy weekend...
My weekend has consisted of at lot of procrastination. Why should I start studying when I have so much to do? Like organizing my shoe collection (it’s now set up by type of shoe and color), re-arranging all the knick-knacks in my living room, folding all my sweaters and getting rid of all those lonely-socks-without-a-match from my now overflowing sock drawer (yay christmas!). Out of my comfort zone...
So today I totally did it…I took pictures today in public. On the street. And my ‘worst’ fear happened….someone came by and SAW ME. And you know what? I didn’t die of embarrassment. I forget how nice people in Pittsburgh are. Love you ‘burghers!

Snowfall...
So winter apparently stepped up in Pittsburgh while I was laying on the beach. I got a nice big snowfilled slap back into reality when I stepped off the plane into blizzard like conditions. I got COVERED in snow. It was sooo ridiculous I giggled all the way to my car and luckily it (my car) started up just fine (and the heat worked, WIN)!
The snow kept on falling for my first day of work...
